Halfway

Standard

Summer is half over already and we’re still not in our house.  It’s been one thing after another, the latest being a heat wave which contributed to a condensation problem in the basement resulting in mold.  Lots of mold.  Mold all over my new doors which were to be installed.  The new primed doors which may now need to be reprimed even after scrubbing (as if I didn’t have enough to do already).  ~sigh~  First-world problems, I know.

If I knew then what I know now I probably would have voted no on buying this place.  At this point we’ve spent as much as it cost fixing it up and gone back into debt.  And it is consuming all of my time.  Many days I’m so exhausted by night I’m just too tired to blog or do much of anything.  Yesterday I had a migraine, in part due to the fact that I’m pushing myself too hard.  And Kevin’s been pushing even harder.

I feel like Martha, caught up in everything that has to be done when my heart longs to be Mary.  Duty doesn’t call anymore, it screams!  Just a few more weeks before we’re in….I hope!  Here’s a picture of our little place.  It’s sweet, but it will be even sweeter when we are finally living there!!!
