There really isn’t much that can be said in the wake of such a tragedy as Sandy Hook. I’m sick about it. It’s a parent/grandparent’s worst nightmare and one that is especially heinous as it involved little children. We may not wrestle against flesh and blood, but sometimes (many times) the enemy uses flesh and blood to do his work. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and Christians need to be praying against the spirit of murder that’s been unleashed in this land. Perhaps this guy was embolded by the recent mall attack and others may be as well just by watching the news. This needs to stop.
I think of David Hogan’s recent visit to school and his stories of raising the dead and I pray for God to send someone with that kind of faith to Sandy Hook. It’s time for the bride of Christ to put on her combat boots. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” We need to literally be loving the hell out of people, not circling our wagons and praying, “Dear Jesus, get us out of here!”
