For three weeks I’ve been busting my tail scraping and painting the windows and porch on this old house. I’ve put in many loooong days in this heat with few breaks, but this morning the home appraiser came so the push to get things done has passed. The place is looking pretty good, although I didn’t get quite as much done as I’d wanted to. It is time for a well-deserved rest before the second go-round. Can’t afford to wait too long though. Once we buy the other place that will become my focus. Life’s full of change and this is certainly going to be a big one.
I’m determined not to take anything to the other house that I don’t need or haven’t used in a while. For the most part I’m just ready to unload it all, but the thriftmeister in me thinks she has to at least have one yard sale to try to get something for all that stuff. After all, we’re going to need to buy new furniture and appliances, and since we’re cutting the kids a huge break on the house we have much less moolah to work with.
Tomorrow night Global is putting on another Pursuit conference which runs through Saturday. Kevin’s signed up for this one too so we’ll be going together, which will be nice. And we’re taking a young lady from the church who signed up as well. Wish the whole church could go :) THAT would be interesting!
