Last night Kevin and I went to our 35th class reunion. The turnout wasn’t so great, but we had a lot of fun, and it’s always good to catch up with old friends. I thought I might have a chance to talk to some people about Brazil, but discovered most really aren’t that interested. I mean other than the “wow factor” there were no questions and the subject was changed right directly. I guess that shouldn’t surprise me, but it did in a way. I’m realizing that for the most part people really aren’t hungry, and in many cases aren’t even curious, about what God is doing down here. They’re asleep. I don’t judge them; I spent many years in slumber and would probably still be sleeping had Got not quickened something in me.
This morning I got up early to take Kevin to the airport. He and his brothers flew to California to visit aging relatives. Wish I could have gone along but at this point I don’t feel as if I have any more energy than the day I got back. In fact, it’s almost 4 in the afternoon and I think I’m going to go take a nap. Writing is so exhausting, you know ;)
