First blizzard of the season

We don’t normally see snow like this until February. Sure is pretty out there, but it makes for some treacherous travel. That didn’t keep 200 guests from attending a wedding at our church earlier today (though they moved the time from 1 p.m. to 11 a.m.). Kevin and I served in the kitchen and afterward took a couple of people home in the 4-wheel-drive truck. Church has been canceled tomorrow, and we’re toying with the idea of going to Ski Roundtop and kicking the ski season off a little early. I’ve been working out since this past February, so I feel as if I’m in shape, but it always takes a while to get my ski legs back (and build confidence).

For now I just love the quiet that a heavy snow brings. Very few vehicles go by (with the exception of some very loud snowmobiles on occasion). I should write, but I’m stalling. I think I’ve lost confidence there, too.
