I think I will go back to bed
and sleep away this nasty flu
that’s knocked me for a loop or two.
My stomach’s hurting and my head
feels like it’s in a vice; my red
eyes burn and–wait, ah-ah-ah-CHOO!
I’ve got a chill. “Go back to bed
and sleep away your nasty flu,”
is what my mother always said.
I’m hungry, but it hurts to chew
and swallow, so what should I do?
I should get up and eat; instead
I think I will go back to bed.
