An elopement ceremony

Is there such a thing? I thought eloping meant running off together and coming back married. Okay, so it wasn’t quite “eloping”, but they did get married last night, Angie and Ricky. They threw it together in less than a week, and though it was small (family and a few close friends), it was very nice. Very informal, too. We arrived early and helped decorate, and I took my video camera and ended up being the videographer! There are some plusses to doing it quick and easy like that. The reception was at the Dobbin House in Gettysburg. Built in 1776, it has quite the history and was once part of the underground railroad. Now its rooms have been converted into a tavern and dining facility, and it is definitely unique. The food was excellent and we had a great time, even though we got in after 1 a.m. (Gettysburg is two counties over).
